Security Deposit GPT

What this is, and what it is not

Read this before you pay. It takes a minute and it will tell you whether this is the right tool for tonight.

What it is

A tool that turns your move-out facts into a demand letter your landlord will recognize as serious: the deposit amount, the dates, your state's return deadline where we are confident of it, and a clear response window. You also get certified-mail instructions after purchase.

What it is not

Not a law firm and not legal advice. Not a case tracker or dashboard. Not a subscription — one letter per purchase. It does not file anything for you, mail anything for you, or talk to your landlord.

How we handle statutes

We cite a state statute only where we are confident of it. Where a state's rule is contested or conditional, we say so plainly, issue a conservative generic demand, and tell you to verify your deadline with the current statute or a local tenants' rights organization.

We start with current state-legislature, court, attorney-general, and other government sources. Each linked source records when we last checked it. Our current content review date is September 14, 2026. We do not claim attorney review until a qualified reviewer has actually completed it.

When to see an actual lawyer

If your landlord has locked you out, is threatening you, is withholding far more than your deposit, or has already sued you — a letter is not enough. Contact your local legal aid office or a tenants' union today.

This is not legal advice. Security Deposit GPT is a document tool, not a law firm, and using it does not create an attorney–client relationship.
